What is the potential of a proactive approach to architecture?
As students at
[AHO] the Oslo School of Architec-
ture and Design we are working on our master
thesis in architecture. Our aim is to discuss the
role of the architect when working in a develop-
ing country and in the informal sector. The inten-
tion is to work with architecture as a catalyst in
community revival. This website is meant to give
information about the project, but also to serve
as a forum for discussion with the collaborating
organzation, supervisors, other students and
anyone interested in commenting on the design
[PROCESS]
With the Uganda based NGO
[SASCU] Save the
Street Children Uganda and local leaders in Ki-
fumbira, we have over the summer developed a
brief for a Community Resource Centre to ben-
efit marginalized groups in the community.
